Key Additions: Donte DiVincenzo
Key Departures: Obi Toppin
Not much changed for the Knicks in the offseason, but what did change could be pretty interesting. They dealt Obi Toppin to the Indiana Pacers, and filled his spot with Donte DiVincenzo. DiVincenzo adds another Villanova player to a roster that is absolutely packed with them. He also adds some much-needed three-point shooting to a roster that lacked it in the most important times during the postseason.
Positives & Negatives
Continuity is such a huge positive for the New York Knicks going into this season, as they are one of the few high-level teams in the NBA that is not going to have to waste time getting used to one another this year. The second year of the Randle-Brunson duo leading this roster will be very interesting, as the Knicks will hope for a big step forward from this duo thanks to their continuity together.
On the negative side, the question with this team is going to be where the offense is going to come from in big spots. Brunson and Randle both struggled on the big stage of the postseason last year, and one or both of them will need to step up in the playoffs for this team to reach its true potential.
