The Los Angeles Clippers enter this game off of an overtime win over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Saturday. Los Angeles held a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter of that game, blew said lead, but got a three at the fourth quarter buzzer to force overtime. They ran away with the game again in overtime, and will look to build on that momentum to beat a shorthanded Nets team.
While Brooklyn is shorthanded, the Clippers are incredibly healthy at this stage of the season. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are together on the floor, and Norman Powell is making significant contributions as well. The Clippers have moved up to fourth in the Western Conference standings, and have emerged as a real threat to win the title if they can stay healthy.

The Brooklyn Nets come into this game off of a win over the Washington Wizards, but that is not the focus surrounding this team right now. Brooklyn traded Kyrie Irving to Dallas on Sunday, getting Dorian Finney-Smith and Spencer Dinwiddie in return, among other pieces. In this game, the Nets will be shorthanded, but will look to win at home over the Clippers.
It is unlikely that Dinwiddie or Finney-Smith will make their Nets debuts so soon after the announcement of the trade. So there are some real questions about where the scoring is going to come from for Brooklyn in this game. Seth Curry is out along with Kevin Durant. And while Cam Thomas and Nic Claxton have shown flashes, operating as the lead scorers for Brooklyn in this game will be tough for them.
