Round 3 of the Masters at Augusta was quite eventful on Saturday. Francesco Molinari leads all players going into Sunday at 13 strokes under par, but Tony Finau and Tiger Woods are both just 2 shots behind him with one final round to play. Will the betting favorite and current leader Molinari clinch a win, or can Woods snag his first major win in more than a decade?
After the 2nd round of the Masters, several players were closely grouped at the top of the leaderboard. The 3rd round was another story though, seeing Brooks Koepka, Louis Oosthuizen, Adam Scott, and Jason Day have rough rounds, knocking them off the top and sending them spiraling down the leaderboard.
One golfer who didnโt disappoint was Francesco Molinari. He was tied for 1st going into the 3rd round after tallying a 70 stroke finish in the 1st round and a 67 stroke in the 2nd round. He responded well with a score of 66, giving him sole possession of 1st place on the leaderboard.
Tony Finau had a superb 3rd round. He found himself in 16th place after swinging 71 in the 1st round and 70 in the 2nd. Saturday was a fresh start for Finau, who closed the round with an impressive 64 stroke finish. This catapulted him up the leaderboard into a tie for 2nd place, just 2 shot behind Molinari.
The biggest name of the tournament also posted his best round on Saturday. Tiger Woods was in 6th place after collecting a 70 in the 1st round and 68 in the 2nd. He managed to finish with a score of 67, placing him into a tie with Finau for 2nd place, with both men just 2 shots behind Molinari.

Despite Finauโs impressive 3rd round, he finds himself at harsh 13:2 odds. Koepka finds himself just above Finau even though heโs a stroke behind on the leaderboard. Molinari is clearly the favorite, but Woods is pretty close behind at 3:1. Tigerโs experience and clutch resolve will be huge on Sunday. Molinari, Woods, and Finau will all start the 4th round at 9:20am EST on Sunday.
