The Lafayette Leopards went 11-22 this season, and finished eighth in the Patriot League standings at 7-11. But they have made it all the way to the Patriot League championship game, beating Lehigh and American University to get to this point. They are huge underdogs against top-seeded Colgate, but anything is possible come tournament time.
For Lafayette, the question will be whether their defense can do enough to disrupt Colgate in this game. They have done a decent job against the Raiders in the regular season, allowing 71 points per game in their two matchups. But Lafayette lost both of those games, and the Leopards will need to be even better defensively if they want to win this one.

Colgate comes into the Patriot League final as a heavy favorite to lift the trophy. They have demolished their two opponents in this conference tournament, beating Loyola and Army by double digits. Colgate is now favored by double digits to finish the job against Lafayette to get to the NCAA Tournament.
