This Big Ten clash between the Michigan Wolverines and Iowa Hawkeyes on Thursday carries significant weight for both squads as the regular season draws to a conclusion. Michigan enters this game as a dominant force in the conference, boasting a 27-2 overall record and a 17-1 mark in Big Ten play, while Iowa arrives at 20-9 and 10-8. The Wolverines have been nearly flawless away from home, and the Hawkeyes are strong on their home floor, creating an interesting dynamic in this important Michigan vs Iowa contest.
Pick: Michigan -8.5 ATS PRO
Confidence: 4 out of 5
Michigan has ascended to become one of the nation’s elite teams in 2025-26, highlighted by a 27-2 record that positions them atop the Big Ten standings. They are currently favored by around 8.5 points in this matchup and hold national title futures odds among the leaders at online sportsbooks, reflecting widespread belief in their championship potential. Iowa, conversely, sits in the middle of the conference and has been inconsistent against higher-tier opponents, though the Hawkeyes protect their home court well and have upset ranked foes previously.

This game favors Michigan on both talent and efficiency measures. While Iowa’s home-court advantage and individual star performances could keep this close early, Michigan’s superior scoring, rebounding edge, and deeper roster point towards them not just winning but covering the spread. I recommend laying the points with the Wolverines here.
