A pair of games in the WNBA tonight and we’ll take a look at the Atlanta Dream at the Minnesota Lynx in a quick rematch of a game that was played Friday, which Minnesota won 86-84.
Atlanta at Minnesota Betting Odds
The Lynx are favored by 5.5 and the total on the game is 163. Minnesota is -245 on the moneyline.
Atlanta Dream
The Dream are 4-3 on the season, which is a bit better than I expected at this point of the season. They’ve gotten some decent play from Tiffany Hayes, who had a team-high 23 points in Friday’s loss to Minnesota. Crystal Bradford came off the bench to hit 4 of 5 3-point attempts, which helped the Dream stay in the game until the Lynx were able to use a 23-16 scoring advantage in the fourth quarter to take the win.
The Dream forced 20 turnovers, but made 18 themselves and didn’t help themselves by going 12 for 20 at the foul line, which has hurt them already this season and did so once again.
Minnesota Lynx
The Lynx started off slow and are still just 2-4 even with Friday’s win over the Dream, but are a better team than they’ve shown so far. Minnesota got little help from its reverses Friday night and it almost cost them the game.
Minnesota’s Kayla McBride had her best game of the season against Atlanta, while Napeesha Collier scored a game-high 26 points in the win.
Atlanta Dream at Minnesota Lynx Pick
These quick rematches are always among the toughest games to predict, but both of today’s games are rematches on Friday. I’m going to go ahead and take a shot on the Lynx -5.5 in this one, as I think they finally play to their potential and Atlanta is still playing a little bit over their heads.
