Argentina kept their knockout hopes alive with a 2-0 win over Mexico. The Argentine’s looked second best in the first half, but that all changed in the second 45.
Lionel Messi broke the deadlock with a beautiful strike from outside the box in the 64th minute. Enzo Fernandez confirmed the win with a beauty of his own in the 87th minute. Emi Martinez was not very busy in goal, but he did make a nice save on a Mexico free kick in the first half.
There is still work to do for Argentina as they hope to finally get Messi a World Cup.
