Boston Bruins vs Toronto Maple Leafs Game 4 (TOR Leads 2-1)
Money Line: Boston+103/Toronto-123
Puck Line: Boston-260/Toronto+215
This series has been about as even as it could be at this point, both teams traded 4-1 victories in the first two games and Toronto edged out a 3-2 victory in the last game. So is Boston due for a 3-2 victory of their own today? Boston will need to return to their Game 2 strategy of forcing Toronto to go the full 200 feet by putting pucks behind the goal line and getting Toronto fatigued once they get in the offensive zone. As long as Boston can get back to their style of play they should take this game to even up the series.
Boston 3 – Toronto 1
Nashville Predators vs Dallas Stars Game 4 (NSH Leads 2-1)
Money Line: Nashville+105/Dallas-125
Puck Line: Nashville-300/Dallas+245
Nashville took a 2-1 series lead with a win last game, despite Dallas outshooting them significantly (42-28) and out hitting them even more (42-23). Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne was the big reason, saving 40-of-42 (.952) shots in the game. Stars goalie Ben Bishop let three goals slide by on 28 shots (.893). In order for Dallas to even up this series before heading back to Nashville they will need better play in net from Bishop, who has done well in the regular season (27-15-1 .934). Dallas needs to find a way to get more shots by Rinne. 1-for-13 on power plays this series isn’t going to get it done.
Nashville 2 – Dallas 1
Calgary Flames vs Colorado Avalanche Game 4 (COL Leads 2-1)
Money Line: Calgary-110/Colorado-110
Puck Line: Calgary+237/Colorado-290
Colorado dominated the third game of this series from the drop of the puck. A 6-2 victory doesn’t even sum up how much the Avalanche controlled this game, the score could of easily have been 10-2 if it weren’t for some great saves by Flames goalie Mike Smith (Colorado outshot Calgary 56-29). Nathan MacKinnon looks too fast for the Flames to keep up with, scoring two goals in last game. Newly signed rookie Cale Makar even got a goal in his NHL debut for the Avs. Colorado has looked faster and more physical in the last two games and have another night on home ice to try and push this series to 3-1. Calgary may be in serious trouble after this one, unless they can find a way to slow down MacKinnon and the Avs’ top line.
Calgary 3 – Colorado 4
