Money Line: Carolina+136/Washington-156
Puck Line: Carolina-235/Washington+195
The Carolina Hurricanes managed to force a Game 7 after a 5-2 victory Monday on their home ice. Now heading to Washington, the task has gotten a lot tougher, as the home team has won every game in this series. Carolina has been a physical team all series and the has been the reason that we are getting a Game 7. However, the last time these two teams played in Washington the Capitals won 6-0. Carolina goaltender Petr Mrazek made some great stops last game on some good scoring opportunities for the Capitals, and will have to do so again today if the Hurricanes want a chance to win this series. The Capitals have the more talented and more experienced team and while being at home, it will be hard for Carolina to find a way to advance, although not impossible. If the Hurricanes can play their best and most physical game of the series, they can certainly win this game. However, it is hard to bet against the more talented team at home. The Capitals should win this game, although it will be a closer one than they would like. Capitals cover the puck line with a last-minute empty net goal.
