The Tennessee Titans will visit the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5 of the NFL season on Sunday. Both teams come into this game on losing streaks. The Titans are winless on the season and will look to play better football this week. Arizona has dropped two games in a row and will try to start digging out of last place in the NFC West. Key Storylines
- Titans struggling: Tennessee is 0–4 and was shut out 26–0 in Week 4 by Houston. Quarterback Cam Ward was highly critical of his performance and the performance of his team in the early portion of the season. It will be up to Ward to help Tennessee’s offense step up in this contest.
- Coaching shakeup in Tennessee: Head coach Brian Callahan handed over play-calling duties to quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree after the team’s rough start. This change signals that their offense is in crisis and it will be interesting to see if that changes this week.
- Arizona’s extra rest: The Cardinals played on Thursday Night Football in Week 4. And while they lost that game to the Seattle Seahawks, that does mean a few extra days of rest and preparation ahead of this game at home.
- Dueling losing streaks: Arizona seeks to end a two-game losing streak this week, while the Titans are hoping to get their first win of the season. Someone has to win this game, assuming we don’t see a second tie this season.
Quarterback Play
Cam Ward has had a brutal start to his professional career. He’s completing just over half his passes with two touchdowns and two interceptions. He’s yet to display command of the Titans’ offense and he has to show some improvement soon if the Titans want to be a respectable football team anytime soon.
Kyler Murray has been serviceable for the Cardinals thus far. He’s thrown six touchdowns and three interceptions to this point. His mobility gives Arizona an added dimension on offense. And he got an encouraging showing out of wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. after a tough start to last week’s game against Seattle.

Final Thoughts
Cam Ward said it best when he said that the Titans were playing like, and I quote, “ass” to begin the season. The Titans are averaging 12.75 points per game through four games and their struggles on offense should continue against a desperate Cardinals team this week. I will lay the points with Arizona, who should improve to 3-2 and put an end to their two-game losing streak.
