Washington Looks to Shock Number One Oregon
The Washington Huskies have had a mediocre season after last year’s run to the national championship game, going 6-5 thus far and 4-4 in Big Ten play. So far this year, the Huskies have won every game they have played at their home stadium and have lost every game they have played elsewhere. They will look to buck that trend and shock the world by upsetting Oregon on the road this coming week. But that will be a tough task for a team that has yet to reach 20 points in a game held outside of Husky Stadium in 2024.
Can Oregon Complete Perfect Regular Season?
The Oregon Ducks are the consensus number one team in college football going into the final game of the regular season. Oregon is 11-0 overall and 8-0 in the Big Ten, coming into this game off of an idle week after narrowly escaping against Wisconsin at Camp Randall Stadium in their last outing. Barring an Ohio State loss to Michigan in the final week of the regular season, it looks like we are getting an Oregon vs Ohio State rematch in the Big Ten title game. But the Ducks will have to avoid thinking about that and focus on taking care of business in this contest.
Washington vs Oregon Best Bet
Despite the temptation for Oregon to train its focus on the Big Ten title game against (probably) Ohio State, we don’t expect them to be guilty of a lack of focus in this Washington vs Oregon contest. We will lay the points with the Ducks in this matchup, as they will continue to blow out opponents at home after beating their last two opponents in Autzen Stadium by at least 21 points apiece.
