The Washington Huskies and Michigan Wolverines will meet in Big Ten play from Ann Arbor on Saturday. Both of these teams have winning records going into this matchup and both defenses have been very good early in the year. But only one defense will lead their team to a win in this contest. Key Storylines
Washington has won two games in a row after taking a loss to Ohio State on September 27. The Huskies’ defense has been its biggest weapon, as they have not allowed 25 points in a game yet this season. Washington will hope that defense travels here as they go to Ann Arbor to face a Michigan team that is also good on defense.
Michigan is coming off a loss on the road against USC. But Michigan is 2-1 in Big Ten play and will be at home, where they are undefeated so far this year. If the Wolverines can make some plays through the air in this contest, they could remain perfect at home for another week.
Quarterback Play
Washington: Demond Williams Jr. has been exceptional in 2025. He’s thrown for 1,628 yards and 10 touchdowns with just one interception. He has also rushed for 382 yards and four touchdowns. Against Rutgers, he exploded for 402 passing yards and 136 rushing yards in one of his best games of the year. His efficiency will be tested against Michigan’s defense on the road but Williams is certainly capable of leading his team to a win here.
Michigan: Bryce Underwood has struggled with consistency throughout the season. He has thrown for 1,210 yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions. But he has not lived up to the hype that came along with his recruitment process as one of the top players in the country going into this year.

Final Thoughts
I think we are going to see a close and low-scoring game from Ann Arbor on Saturday afternoon. The final score could go either way, as both defenses should be on top of their game here. Instead of taking a side, I think that the under is the best bet on the board here in a game that should come down to a field goal or so in either direction.
