On one sideline, Vanderbilt’s Diego Pavia has carried the Commodores with an efficient, high‑volume passing attack. He enters the game with 2,924 passing yards, 26 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions, with a completion rate near 72%. Pavia also has over 660 rushing yards and 8 rushing touchdowns.
Tennessee’s quarterback is Joey Aguilar, who has completed 67% of his passes for 3,145 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions this season. The battle between Pavia’s explosiveness and Aguilar’s steadiness will be central to deciding the game’s flow.
Score Projection: Tennessee 34 – Vanderbilt 31
Win Probability: Tennessee: 58%, Vanderbilt: 42%
I am going to lay the points with Tennessee in this contest from Knoxville. Pavia should have another big game for the Commodores, but I don't think that the defense of Vandy will hold up well enough to win this game and keep their playoff hopes alive. This game will be incredibly exciting, but I'll give the Vols the nod in the end.
