The California Golden Bears are bowl-eligible in their first season as an ACC football program. They have won three of their last four games going into this weekend’s action, including a victory over rivals Stanford in their last game. Here, they will look to upset SMU in the final game of their regular season. In order to accomplish that, the Golden Bears will need their passing game to continue to deliver, as Cal ranks 21st in the nation with 276.1 yards per game through the air. That will be huge for them to keep pace with the explosive offense of the Mustangs.
SMU Aims to End Perfect Regular Season In ACC
SMU is 10-1 overall this season and 7-0 in the ACC. They will face either Miami or Clemson in the ACC championship game, where they will look to win the conference title in their first year as a member of the conference. But before all of that, the Mustangs need to take care of business against Cal to avoid hurting their ranking before the ACC title game.
