Key Storylines
- Montana’s Hot Start: The Grizzlies are 4–1 to begin the season, their best five-game start in several years. They’re scoring efficiently, with Money Williams leading the way. The Grizzlies are scoring 87.8 points per game, but they struggled against Stanford in their only other test against a power conference opponent.
- Road Woes for Montana: Despite the strong start, Montana has historically struggled on the road in November. Under coach Travis DeCuire, their November road record is just 3–30.
- A&M Needs to Bounce Back: The Aggies have lost two straight, most recently dropping an 86–74 setback to UCF. Their defensive intensity has shown in creating turnovers, but they’ve struggled to close out games.
- Bench Factor for A&M: Depth is a strength for the Aggies early in the season. The Aggies rank second in the SEC in scoring from the bench, averaging over 45 points.
- Money Williams’ Impact: Williams is averaging 20.2 points, 5.8 assists, and has been the engine for Montana offensively. He’s among the most-used players on the team, and his playmaking could challenge A&M’s defense.

Final Thoughts
Texas A&M is clearly the stronger team on paper and they should be able to win this game on their home floor. But I’m going to take the points with Montana in this matchup. The Grizzlies have a legitimate scoring threat in Money Williams who should put up big enough numbers to help his team stay close in this contest. I’ll go with the Aggies to win straight up, but for Montana to cover the number.
