Three games on the WNBA slate for Saturday and we’ll take a look at the late game between the Minnesota Lynx and the Phoenix Mercury.
Minnesota at Phoenix Betting Odds
The Mercury are favored by 3 and the total on the game is 163. Phoenix is -150 on the moneyline.
Minnesota Lynx
Minnesota is 8-7 on the season after winning the first of the two games between these teams on Wednesday, as the Lynx had an answer for the Mercury any time Phoenix got close in the final quarter, with the Lynx taking an 82-76 victory. Kayla McBride had a huge game for Minnesota, making 5 of 7 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 26 points.
The Lynx shot 50.6% from the field for the game and were monsters on the glass, outrebounding Phoenix 39-22. The Lynx had 12 points or more from three other players in the victory.

Phoenix Mercury
The Mercury are just 7-8 on the season and have been terrible at home this year, going just 2-6. Diana Turasi is back for the Mercury and they really don’t have any more excuses to their slow start. With Turasi, Brittney Griner and Skylar Diggins-Smith, this is better than an 7-8 team, especially when you add in the likes of Kia Nurse and Brianna Turner.
Griner led the team with 28 points last time against the Lynx, but she didn’t get much help from the other big two, as Turasi and Smith were a combined 8 for 28 from the field and 2 for 12 from 3-point range and they’re the team’s better 3-point shooters.
Minnesota at Phoenix Pick
I have this one 82-81 in favor of Minnesota, but not really sold on the Lynx here. Phoenix is going to be a little underrated with my numbers due to missing Turasi for nine games, so realistically, I’d have the Mercury winning by a couple. Will take the over 163 here, as Turasi and Diggins-Smith should be better from the field.
