Three games on tap in the WNBA for Saturday and we’ll take a look at the game between the Indiana Fever (1-13) at the Washington Mystics (5-6).
Indiana at Washington Betting Odds
The Mystics are now favored by 9 points after being favored by 9.5 earlier today. The total on the game has held steady at 164. Washington is -500 on the moneyline.
Indiana Fever
There isn’t much you can say about the Fever that isn’t reflected in that 1-13 record. Indiana struggles to score and compounds matters by not being very good at stopping the opposition. Indiana scores a league-low 74.4 points per game and allows 88.4.
Kelsey Mitchell has been a workhorse for the Fever and leads the team with 15.6 points per game, while Teaira McGowan is second with 11.1 points per game and grabs a team-high 9 rebounds per game. McGowan is hitting 52% of her shots from the field, so she needs to shoot the ball more. Tiffany Mitchell is the only other player to average double figures for the Fever.
Washington Mystics
The Mystics are trying to keep themselves in good position until the Olympic break, which will be coming up next week and that should see the return of Elene Delle Donne, who has missed all of the season so far after back surgery. The Mystics should see the return of Tina Charles, who missed the team’s last game to attend a movie premier and she’s the league’s leading scorer with 24 points per game, while Ariel Atkins averages 19.3 points.
The Mystics are scoring 82.8 points per game and allowing 83.8 points per game.
Indiana at Washington Pick
Going to play the over 164 in this one, as I have it 93-75 for Washington. The Mystics are averaging 91 points in the games they’ve won and see them getting plenty of points in this one. The Fever can struggle to score, but think they’ll get enough points to help push the game over the total.
