Just a single game in the WNBA today, as Chicago (13-12) visit the Seattle Storm (18-9) in a rematch of Friday’s game that saw Chicago pull the 73-69 upset.
Chicago at Seattle Betting Odds
The Storm opened as 7.5-point favorites and the line has been bet down to 5.5, while the total on the game is 164.5.
Chicago Sky
There isn’t a whole lot to say about Chicago that we didn’t two days ago, as the Sky have a deep team without any real stars, at least stars the magnitude of a Breanna Stewart or Sue Bird. That paid dividends in the last game against Seattle, as Kahleah Cooper had a game-high 26 points, while Diamond DeShields struggled, as did Allie Quigley, but Stephanie Dolson scored 12 points on 5 of 7 shooting.
The Sky have been solid on the road, especially on the defensive end, as their Defensive Efficiency drops from 96.5 to 92.1. There’s a reason they’re 9-4 on the road and 4-8 at home.
Seattle Storm
This is a big game for Seattle, as they’ve dropped the first games of the season to Chicago, so a bit of a statement game. The two games have been close, so it’s not as though the Storm are overmatched, but they need to show the league that they’re a better team than they’ve shown up to this point, especially recently, where Seattle is 5-5 over its last 10 games, while Connecticut is 9-1 and Minnesota and Phoenix are both 8-2.
Chicago did a good job on Seattle defensively last time, holding the Storm to 36.8% shooting and it was your typical sloppy WNBA game with a combined 35 turnovers.

Chicago at Seattle Pick
I fell to 34-19-1 on the season last night, when Washington didn’t show up until the second half and this is a bit of a tough game here, as we’ve seen plenty of games that are played between the same two teams two days later that are nothing like the first game. I have this one 80-79 for Seattle, but wouldn’t be surprised to Seattle win by a bigger margin, but will just play the biggest of the two differences and come back with the under 164.5.
