ProphetX (formerly Prophet Exchange) is back and better than ever! The sports betting exchange has relaunched using an innovative sweepstakes model, and it's now available in nearly 40 states across the U.S.
In this in-depth review, we'll cover everything you need to know about ProphetX Sports Exchange, including how it works, what sets it apart from traditional sportsbooks, and why you may want to consider giving it a try! Now, let's dive right in.
"After getting a chance to try ProphetX, I found it to be a great option for online sports betting in the U.S.
They offer some of the best odds out there and don’t limit winning bettors, which is a big win for serious players. Plus, the mobile app is super user-friendly, making it easy to place bets no matter where you are.
That said, there are a few downsides to keep in mind. They don’t currently have a welcome bonus, which might be a letdown for newcomers. Also, the lack of parlays and teasers can limit some betting strategies.
Overall, ProphetX is a solid choice for those looking for competitive odds and a straightforward betting app, but there’s definitely room for improvement."

Pros
Cons
Prophet Exchange launched in August 2022 as an innovative platform that transforms the way people bet on sports.
Unlike traditional sportsbooks where users bet against the house, ProphetX allows users to either place bets or set their own odds for others to bet on. This peer-to-peer model ensures that you can always find the best possible odds, as they are determined by the market rather than a fixed bookmaker’s margin.
In 2023, the platform rebranded as ProphetX and introduced a unique sweepstakes model, making it legal and available in nearly 40 different states across the U.S.
Have you ever heard of social sportsbooks like Fliff, Sportzino, or Rebet? Well, ProphetX works the exact same way.
Instead of having you wager real money, the ProphetX betting app uses two different types of virtual currency: Prophet Points (aka Gold Coins) and Prophet Cash (aka Sweeps Coins).
You can claim free Prophet Cash through social media giveaways and mail-in entries. Also, you can buy Prophet Points at any time, and you'll receive free Prophet Cash as an added bonus!
Unfortunately, ProphetX does not provide a sign-up bonus or welcome offer at this time. Instead, the sportsbook focuses on offering value over the long term by providing some of the best odds in the industry.

That said, I was a bit disappointed. Most social sportsbook and sweepstakes betting apps will offer a no-deposit bonus or first-purchase bonus to attract new users.
Unfortunately, ProphetX doesn’t have that right now; the only promotion available is their "Refer A Friend" program, which gives you 10 Prophet Cash for every new user who signs up with your referral code. While that’s useful, it feels a bit limited compared to what other platforms offer.
ProphetX is a sweepstakes app, not a real-money sportsbook. As a result, you cannot make traditional deposits or withdrawals. Instead, you'll be able to purchase Prophet Points and redeem Prophet Cash for cash prizes.
In the tables below, you'll find a complete overview of the payment options and prize redemption methods available at ProphetX Sportsbook, along with some other important information you should be aware of!

ProphetX Sportsbook currently offers a dedicated mobile app for both iOS and Android devices. You can download either one for free using the links we've provided in the next section!
During my ProphetX review, I tried out the app on my iPhone, and I was really impressed with how easy it is to use.
Navigating through the app was seamless, and switching between the sportsbook's two game modes was effortless. This allows you to easily flip between practicing with Prophet Points and competing for real money prizes with Prophet Cash!
I also liked how easy it was to set your own odds and accept bets from other players. The app has a clean and modern design, and I found it reliable with quick loading times and minimal lag—important for live betting!
Everything is laid out clearly, so it’s easy to find what you need without feeling lost. Plus, if you prefer using a larger screen, there’s a website version that offers the same features. Overall, I’d rate the mobile app experience a perfect 5/5!

Although ProphetX deserves a ton of credit for offering some of the best odds in the industry and not limiting winning bettors, the sweepstakes app comes up a bit short in this next category.
Compared to most traditional sportsbooks, the betting options at ProphetX are somewhat limited. To show you what we mean, let’s take a quick look at the sports and leagues covered as well as the different types of wagers offered on the platform:
Sport | Leagues |
🏀 Basketball | NBA, NCAAB |
🏈 Football | NFL, NCAAF |
⚾ Baseball | MLB |
🏒 Hockey | NHL |
⚽ Soccer | EPL, Champions League, La Liga, Bundesliga, MLS |
🥊 MMA | UFC |
⛳ Golf | PGA |
As you can see, ProphetX covers the “Big Four” American sports leagues (NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL) as well as college basketball, college football, MMA, golf, and a handful of popular soccer leagues.
For the average fan, this is more than enough to keep them engaged throughout the year. However, those who are interested in placing wagers on the WNBA, UFL, NASCAR, F1, tennis, cricket, or other less mainstream options may need to look elsewhere for their online betting needs.
In addition, ProphetX only offers the following types of wagers:
However, there are no teasers, parlays, or same-game parlays available on ProphetX Sportsbook right now.
Plus, the prop markets and alternate lines are pretty limited compared to what you might find on other sportsbooks, which could be a downside if you’re looking for more variety in your bets.
That said, I have to give ProphetX credit for their surprisingly good live betting experience. Being able to place bets in real time as the action unfolds really adds to the thrill of sports betting.
While the selection of bet types might be a bit limited, the live betting feature makes it feel much more interactive and exciting.
When you’re picking an online sportsbook or sweepstakes app, three key factors really matter: safety, security, and fairness. ProphetX does an excellent job in all these areas, giving you peace of mind while you enjoy your betting experience.
First off, the platform uses strong encryption technology to keep your personal and financial information safe. You can bet with confidence, knowing that your data is protected.
When it comes to fairness, ProphetX stands out with its peer-to-peer betting model, where users set their own odds. This creates a more level playing field and makes the betting experience more interactive and engaging.
Plus, ProphetX Sportsbook operates legally under sweepstakes laws in the United States, ensuring that it adheres to all necessary regulations. This means you can trust that the platform is compliant and operates with integrity.
Overall, it's clear that ProphetX deserves a perfect 5/5 rating in this crucial category. Allow me to explain why in further detail by answering a few other important questions on the topic!

After learning all about ProphetX, are you wondering how it compares to other prediction markets, sweepstakes sportsbooks, and social betting apps? Well, let's find out!
Fliff is the most popular social sportsbook in the United States today.
When you compare it to ProphetX, Fliff definitely has the edge with its generous welcome offer for new users and a broader range of sports prediction markets. This makes it a great option for anyone wanting to explore different betting opportunities right from the get-go.
On the other hand, ProphetX shines with its competitive odds, which often beat those of other sportsbooks. Plus, its unique peer-to-peer betting model lets users set their own odds, making for a more interactive experience.
Ultimately, both platforms have their perks, so it really comes down to what you’re looking for!
Another popular option is Sportzino!
While ProphetX deserves credit for its user-friendly mobile app and great odds, Sportzino has the upper hand with its daily odds boosts, which can really give your bets a nice boost. Plus, if you enjoy casino games, Sportzino has a solid selection to keep things exciting.
So, while ProphetX offers a straightforward betting experience, Sportzino’s combination of better odds and fun gaming options makes it a strong choice for those looking for a bit more variety.
Last but not least, we have the Novig app!
Both platforms started as sports betting exchanges before shifting to a sweepstakes model, which has helped them reach more users across the U.S. Novig has a clear advantage with its no-deposit bonus and plenty of ongoing promotions for everyday bettors, which can really improve your experience.
On the other hand, ProphetX stands out with its great mobile app, which is easy to use. It lets you place bets quickly and find what you need without any hassle. In the end, it seems like you can't go wrong with either option!
