Best NFL Betting Picks For Thanksgiving
Minnesota Vikings vs New England Patriots
The Vikings and Patriots are both well inside the playoff races of their respective conferences. The Patriots hold a Wild Card spot in the AFC, while the Vikings are the second overall seed in the NFC. Despite the playoff similarities, this past week could not have been more different for these teams. The Patriots won in heroic fashion, a punt return to break a 3-3 tie with 5 seconds left. While jubilation prevailed in moving to 6-4, the offense left much to be desired. The Vikings on the other hand completely laid an egg for the first time this season. They dropped a 40-3 blowout to the Cowboys to fall to 8-2.

Why Bet The Vikings
✅ Despite having their seven game win streak snapped in ugly fashion last week, the Vikings are still the superior team. Before last week’s hiccup they were 4-0 in home games. Their average margin of win in those games was 8.8 points.
✅ The Vikings have already found a world of success against the AFC East this season. The Vikings have already faced the top two teams in the division in the Bills and Dolphins on the road and won both of those games.
✅ The Patriots have not had the same level of success against the NFC North as the Vikings have against the AFC East. The Pats have dropped two of three and have played the three worst teams in the division.
✅ The Patriots offense is an absolutely disaster. The offense put up just three points last week and has averaged just 18 points per game over the last four.
Josh Allen Player Prop
Josh Allen has not had his best games throwing the football of late. He has been dealing with a UCL injury in his elbow, but has faced mostly higher end pass defenses as well. In the last four weeks he has faced three top half of the league pass defenses and one right at the bottom of the league. In the three difficult matchups, he has averaged 206.7 passing yards per game, well under his 293 yard average on the season.
However, in the easier matchup, he had a spike game. He threw for 330 yards and looked much more like what we have come to expect. That has been a trend for him all season long. In five matchups against bottom 10 pass defenses, Allen has thrown for 1800 yards. That is good for a 360 yard per game average. His 317 yard performance against the Titans was his worst in a favorable matchup.
Enter this week’s matchup with the Lions, and Allen gets precisely the type of matchup he has feasted on this year. The Lions are a bottom five pass defense, allowing over 262 yards per game on average. Included is Daniel Jones throwing for a season high 341 yards just a week ago. They have been burned even worse by high end passing attacks this season, such as Tua Tagovailoa’s 382 yard outing in Week 8.
This sets up for Allen to flirt with a 400 yard passing game for the third time this season. Despite the matchup, Allen’s passing prop is set at 281.5 yards. Allen will not even have to play well or be healthy to go over the total in this matchup. Fire at the over.
Betting Pick: Josh Allen Over 281.5 Passing Yards
