Thursday Night Football Preview
Week 16 of the NFL season is here and a Thursday Night Football battle between the San Francisco 49ers (8-6, 5-2 away) visit the Tennessee Titans (9-5, 5-2 home) gets the week started.
Last time out, San Francisco hosted the Atlanta Falcons and came away with a 31-13 victory. This was a tight game at the half, with the 49ers leading by seven, but San Francisco used a big third quarter to get the comfortable win. Jimmy G went 18/23 for 235 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions. The 49ers ran the ball 32 times for 162 yards, a 5.1 average, and three touchdowns. Defensively, the 49ers allowed 275 total yards and recovered one Atlanta fumble.
Tennessee visited the Pittsburgh Steelers and left with a disappointing 19-13 defeat. The Titans led 10-0 in the first, and 13-3 at the half, but sloppy offense gave Pittsburgh the opening they needed to get the comeback win. Ryan Tannehill went 23/32 for 153 yards, zero touchdowns, one interception, and added one rushing touchdown. Defensively, the Titans allowed just 168 total yards and did not force any Pittsburgh turnovers.
The 49ers are currently 3.5-point road favorites, and the total is at 44.0. If you think Los Tennessee can pull off the upset their moneyline is sitting at +160.
