PSG vs Borussia Dortmund – Champions League Odds, Preview & Prediction 03/11/20

Another great Champions League Round of 16 clash is on the schedule Wednesday, March 11, as Ligue One’s PSG hosts the Bundesliga’s Borussia Dortmund. The German squad leads 2-1 after coming away with the win in Dortmund.

PSG, as usual, find themselves having already wrapped up Ligue One and playing in a very bad and non-competitive league. The Parisian giants currently lead second place by Marseille by 12 points and have a game in hand. PSG are going to win Ligue One, have the final of the Coupe de la Ligue and Coupe de France coming up, and are also still very alive in this Champions League race. A quadruple is still alive for the French squad.

Borussia Dortmund find themselves in a tight Bundesliga title race as they sit just four points back of league leaders Bayern Munich. Dortmund host Bayern in just a few weeks, so the title race could come down to that game. The Bundesliga and Champions League are the only competitions remaining on Dortmund’s schedule.

Below is my pick for the Champions League action between PSG and Borussia Dortmund. All odds are from William Hill Sportsbook.

PSG (-165) vs Borussia Dortmund (+360) Draw (+380)

PSG advanced to their third final of the season with a 5-1 demolition of Lyon in the Coupe de France semifinals. Lyon went up 1-0 early, but it was all PSG after that. Kylian Mbappe netted a hat trick, Neymar added a goal from the penalty spot, and Pablo Sarabia also netted a goal for PSG against a 10-man Lyon squad. PSG have now won three games in a row and cannot stop scoring as all three games have seen them net at least four goals. PSG are the best home club in France having won 37 points in their 14 home fixtures.

Last time out, Borussia Dortmund came away with a huge win against top five squad Borussia Monchengladbach. Dortmund took the lead in the 8th minute, but Monchengladbach were able to tie it up just after the start of the second half. The winner for Dortmund came in the 71st minute as Achraf Hakimi netted the goal and gave Dortmund a 2-1 win. Dortmund have now won five straight games by a combined score of 11-2. Borussia Dortmund are the fourth best road club in Germany thanks to winning 21 points in 13 road fixtures.

Series History: Borussia Dortmund, with that win in the first leg, now lead the all-time series 1-2-0.

Game Prediction: I think this is going to be an exciting game and I have no idea who is going to win it, so a draw at +380 seems to make sense here.
