Two games remain in the La Liga season and there are still European competition positions still to be determined and one last relegation spot still in balance. Getafe is currently holding down the last Champions League spot, but they have just a three point lead and have to travel to an angry Barcelona this weekend. The two teams sitting three points back are Valencia, who host Alaves, and Sevilla who travel to Atletico Madrid. The final Europa League spot is also highly contested as Athletic Bilbao hold just a three point lead over three teams. Real Sociedad host Real Madrid, Espanyol travel to Leganes and Alaves travel to Valencia.

The last relegation spot is also up in the air as Girona, who currently occupy that spot, sit just one point away from Valladolid and three points from Levante, Villarreal and Celta Vigo. Girona host Levante in a hug relegation game, Valladolid travel to already relegated Rayo Vallecano and Villarreal host Eibar.

A huge final two weeks are set to take place in La Liga and it all starts on Sunday.

Here are my two best bets for the penultimate weekend in Spain.

Athletic Bilbao (+100) vs Celta Vigo (+280): Draw – (+250)

Athletic Bilbao, who currently occupy the last Europa League spot, welcome Celta Vigo to San Mames Stadium for a crucial game in both the Europa League race and the relegation battle.

Bilbao enter this game winless in their two games and need a win to feel comfortable heading into the final weekend of play. In their last 10 games overall Bilbao sit at 5-2-3, but at home Bilbao are undefeated in their last 10 games going 6-4-0.

With a win Sunday Celta Vigo will feel much more comfortable about ensuring their safety for one more season. Celta Vigo are on a great run to end the season, as they are unbeaten in four straight games, and sit at 4-3-3 in their last 10 games overall. The story is much different on the road as they are winless in 11 games and are 0-4-7 during that run.

I like Athletic Bilbao to get the win and all but guarantee a European appearance next season.

Athletic Bilbao leads the last five H2H meetings 3-1-1, but in their last five meetings at San Mames they lead just 2-2-1.

Rayo Vallecano (+320) vs Valladolid (-125): Draw: – (-125)

Already relegated Rayo Vallecano have a chance to drag another team down with them as they host Valladolid on Sunday. Valladolid currently sit one point clear of the final relegation spot and a loss Sunday could potentially cost them their La Liga status.

Rayo enter Sunday on a 2-2-6 run, but have been a very tough team to beat at home as of late. The hosts are unbeaten in four straight home games and in their last home game they shocked Real Madrid 1-0. In their last 10 games at home Rayo are 4-3-3.

Valladolid enter Sunday on a run on 3-3-4, but are coming off a huge win against Athletic Bilbao last weekend. It is not a pretty picture on the road for Valladolid as they sit at 1-2-7 over their last 10 road games.

I like Rayo Vallecano to get the win on Sunday.

Rayo hold a 2-2-1 advantage over the last five matchups between the two, but the series is tied 2-2-1 in the last five at Rayo.
