Juventus vs Atalanta – 07/11/20 – Serie A Odds, Preview & Prediction

A big top four matchup is on the Serie A schedule for Saturday, July 11, 2020, when Juventus hosts Atalanta. Juve are atop the Serie A table and will look to keep Lazio far in the rear-view mirror. Atalanta are looking for a miraculous second place finish, so the high-flying squad will look to take down the Italian giants. This game will air live on ESPN+ at 3:45 p.m. EST.

Entering Thursday, July 9, 2020, Juventus are in first place, with 75 points, and are on their way to another Scudetto. Juve hold seven-point lead over second place Lazio and a nine-point lead over third place Atalanta. Inter sit in fourth place, with a game in hand, on 64 points.

Atalanta have risen to third on the table, with 66 points, and are now in striking distance of a second-place finish. The club are just two points behind second place Lazio and are two points ahead of fourth place Inter, though Inter has a game in hand.

Below is my pick for the Serie A action between Juventus and Atalanta. All odds are from BetMGM Colorado Sportsbook.

Juventus (+100) vs Atalanta (+260) Draw (+250)

Juventus played in one of the best, and most confusing, games in Italy this season when they fell 4-2 at AC Milan. The game was tied at the half, but Juventus quickly went up 2-0 with goals from Adrien Rabiot and Cristiano Ronaldo. It was 2-0 Juventus until the 63rd minute, but it was all AC Milan after that as they scored three goals in five minutes and four goals in 18 minutes. Such a strange game from Juventus and a disappointing loss as they could have gone 10 points clear at the top. This was Juventus’ first regulation loss since the season started as they now have four wins, one draw, one regulation loss, and one loss in penalties. Juve are the best home club in Italy thanks to an unbeaten 14-1-0 record and 43 points.

Atalanta made their fans wait a while, but they ultimately came away with a 2-0 home win over Sampdoria. Rafael Toloi scored the opening goal in the 75th minute and Luis Muriel added an insurance goal in the 85th. Atalanta have now won every game since the Serie A restart and are currently on a 12-match winning streak and 14-match unbeaten streak. With a fantastic 10-4-1 away record, and 34 points, Atalanta are the top road team in Italy.

Series History: These two club have met 129 times in the past and Juventus holds a commanding 71-43-15 advantage. Juve won the reverse fixture 3-1 back in late November.

v: I like Juventus to rebound and get a tough win.

2020 Results: 77-58
