The Round of 12 kicks off on Sunday with the South Point 400. The NASCAR Playoffs didnโt have any surprises or noteworthy drama over the first three races. Kevin Harvick won two of them to add to his points lead and Brad Keselowski was the meat in the Harvick sandwich with his win at Richmond in the middle race.
Ryan Blaneyโs 10-point penalty before the first playoff race even began was a big reason why he was on the chopping block, but he didnโt run well in the races at Darlington, Richmond, or Bristol anyway. Weโll see if he can do better with nothing to lose this week at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
For the first time since July 23, the drivers will be back on a 1.5-mile track. The usual suspects are listed at the shortest prices at BetRivers Sportsbook. Harvick is +450. Martin Truex Jr. is +500 and the reigning champion of this race. Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano are +600 and +650, respectively, as it looks like it could be a huge weekend for Ford. Logano is the two-time reigning champ of the February race at Las Vegas and Keselowski won this fall race two years ago.
This is usually a pretty clean race, so it seems like looking for an upset winner is a tall task going into Sundayโs race, which has a 7:30 p.m. ET start time on NBC Sports Network.
Weโll let our video correspondent and NASCAR fan and handicapper Brian Blessing tell you who he likes for the South Point 400:
