Chicago Looks to Come Out Of Bye Firing
While the Chicago Bears are in last place in the NFC North, that is a product of the division being great rather than the Bears being bad. Chicago is 4-2 so far this season and will enter this week’s play off of their bye week, after the Bears beat up on the Jaguars in London in Week 6. In that game, Caleb Williams had his best game as a pro and will look to replicate that performance against a Commanders team that is playing well but can be vulnerable on defense.
Commanders Look to Continue Surprising Start
For the Washington Commanders, things are moving ahead of schedule so far this season. Washington is 5-2 on the year and in first place in the NFC East entering Week 8. Quarterback Jayden Daniels has put himself firmly at the top of Offensive Rookie of the Year discussions already in 2024 and will look to keep his hot start going this week. Daniels was held out of the majority of his team’s win over the Carolina Panthers last week due to an injury suffered in that game, but he is said to be fine and should be back out there for this week. That should mean continued production from the Washington offense.
Bears vs Commanders Prediction
Our best bet for Bears vs Commanders is for the over to cash at 45 points. Washington’s offense has been so dynamic of late that they have gone over the total in five of their seven games on the season so far. Meanwhile, Chicago should do their share of scoring as well, as Caleb Williams looks to build on his four-touchdown performance from his team’s last outing in London. Expect a very exciting game from Washington when these rookie quarterbacks lead their teams into battle.
