Key Storylines
Baltimore looked like the team they were expected to be going into this season in their win over the Miami Dolphins last week. Lamar Jackson returned from injury and helped the Ravens offense put together a solid performance in a 28-6 victory on the road. This is a much tougher test for Jackson and the Ravens and it will be interesting to see how they perform as they attempt to get to 4-5 on the season.
Minnesota got a huge win last week as well. They defeated the Detroit Lions on the road to snap a two-game losing streak and get to 4-4 on the year. JJ McCarthy made plays with his arm and his legs to help the Vikings get that win. McCarthy will try to pass a huge test this week and outperform the Ravens’ perennial MVP candidate at quarterback.
The biggest key to this game will be the defense of the Vikings. Not only do they need to stop Derrick Henry on the ground and the Ravens’ receivers down the field. They also need to make sure they maintain their gap discipline to prevent Jackson from extending plays and breaking big runs. That is a lot to worry about for any defense and Minnesota will have to handle all of that well to win this week.
Quarterback Play
Lamar Jackson’s return has already changed Baltimore’s offense for the better. He completed 18 of 23 passes for 204 yards and four touchdowns as the Ravens blew out the Dolphins last week. Now the question is whether he can do it again on the road. McCarthy has plenty of weapons to work with on the Vikings’ side. He will try to use them all to his advantage against a Ravens defense that is in the bottom third of the league in points per game allowed.

Final Thoughts
I think that this game will be incredibly close throughout. Both offenses are dangerous and both defenses should struggle to handle them. I don’t mind the idea of betting the over here, but my best bet is for the Vikings to cover the spread as a home underdog.
