Falcons Defense Must Be More Effective
Last week, the Atlanta Falcons got torched at home by the Seattle Seahawks, with Atlanta losing 34-14 at home. The Atlanta defense struggled in that game, as did Kirk Cousins, who threw two interceptions and didn’t look like the player who had been leading his team to win after win this season. Cousins has to get his turnovers back under control for the Falcons to have a chance in this game, as Atlanta enters this week’s play with a 2-0 road record early in the season.
Buccaneers Enter Rivalry Game On Short Week
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be on short rest in Week 8 of the regular season. They will have played on Monday Night Football against the Baltimore Ravens to close out Week 7 before taking on this game. How the Bucs recover from Week 7 and prepare for this game with less time to do both of those things will be interesting to monitor as this week progresses. But with the Bucs playing better football than any team in their division on both sides of the ball, anything but a win here would be seen as a huge disappointment.
Falcons vs Buccaneers Prediction
Falcons vs Buccaneers is a significant game, as a win by either team could mean the lead in the NFC South changing hands. As far as our best bet for this contest is concerned, we will take the Bucs to get the job done against Atlanta, covering the spread as a field goal favorite. Tampa Bay’s offense should be able to move the ball through the air against an Atlanta team whose defense plays up or down to the level of their competition, as the Bucs will get a key division victory.
