The 2020 SEC Tournament heads to Nashville, Tennessee as all 14 schools will all look to earn the leagues automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. Kentucky will enter the tournament as the favorite, but Auburn, LSU and Florida should all have a say in who ends up lifting the trophy. The first round begins Wednesday, March 11 and the champion will be crowned on Sunday, March 15. The top 10 teams receive a first round bye and the top four seeds receive a double bye to the quarterfinals.
SEC Tournament Odds:

Kentucky has absolutely dominated the SEC Tournament over the years as the Wildcats have won the conference tournament a remarkable 31 times. The next closest team is Alabama who has lifted the trophy six times, but not since 1991. Florida and Tennessee (4), Mississippi State (3), Auburn, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, and Georgia (2) and Arkansas and LSU (1) have all won the trophy before. Missouri, South Carolina, and Texas A&M are the only SEC teams to have never won the conference tournament. Georgia Tech, now a member of the ACC, won the SEC tournament all the way back in 1938.
Last season, Auburn entered the SEC Tournament as the #5 seed and pulled off two upsets on their way to lifting their second SEC Tournament championship. The Tigers opened their tournament with an 81-71 win over #12 Missouri and followed that up with a 73-64 upset over #4 South Carolina in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, Auburn knocked off #8 Florida 65-62 and then in the final the Tigers dominated #3 Tennessee and came away with the 84-64 win. Auburn ended up being the #5 seed in the Midwest and rode their SEC Tournament momentum all the way to last season’s Final Four. The Tigers ultimately ended up falling 63-62 to eventual champions Virginia.
The top four seeds for this tournament are Kentucky, Auburn, LSU, and Mississippi State and will be able to relax, and watch, the first two rounds. We will get the predictions started in the quarterfinals where I see #1 Kentucky beating #8 Tennessee, #2 Auburn knocking off #7 Texas A&M, #3 LSU beating #6 South Carolina, and #5 Florida upsetting #4 Mississippi State. In the semifinals I see #1 Kentucky and #2 Auburn advancing to make a great championship game. After a long week in Nashville I see the Auburn Tigers coming out on top and winning the 2020 SEC Championship.
