Alouettes vs. Redblacks Betting Preview
Montreal will try to rebound from another disappointing loss, as they travel to Ottawa to take on the winless Redblacks, who are coming off a tough loss of their own. The Alouettes have nobody to blame but themselves for their loss to Edmonton last week, as they committed 13 penalties for 193 yards, including a number of defensive pass penalties in the second half, which helped the Elks erase a 31-12 third-quarter deficit.
Caleb Evans got the start for the Redblacks in place of the injured Jeremiah Masoli and was decent, throwing for one touchdown and rushing for two more, but he was picked off twice. Heโll get the start in this one, as Nick Arbuckle is on the inactive list for this one, as he learns the Ottawa playbook. Defensive back Justin Howell was also ruled out for Ottawa.

Alouettes vs. Redblacks Pick & Prediction
Montreal is going to stick with Trevor Harris, even though the Alouettes are just 1-2 with him starting. Itโs not as though heโs necessarily earned the starting job after Vernon Harris missed a bit of time with COVID, but his stats are decent. Still, he disappeared in the fourth quarter last week when his team needed him the most.
These are usually the types of games where Harris excels, when playing an average pass defense and the Redblacks are allowing 285 yards per game. Evans may not throw for as many yards as Harris, but he is a decent two-way threat and led the Redblacks with 62 yards on the ground last week.
The pressure is on both teams to get a win and Montreal could easily have a couple more wins on the year, so think theyโre worth a flyer in this one.
