Where is the 2025 SEC Tournament Taking Place?
The 2025 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament will take place at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN. There are a couple of SEC teams who could benefit from that location. The games are scheduled to air across ESPN’s family of networks, with games airing on ESPN, ESPN2, SEC Network, and ESPN+. In this tournament, the top-four seeds receive a double-bye straight into the quarterfinals, while seeds 5-8 get one bye into the second round of the tournament.
SEC Teams To Watch
Auburn Tigers
Auburn is a slight favorite to win the SEC Tournament going into play in Nashville. The Tigers have one of the most explosive offenses in all of college basketball, along with a legitimate national player of the year contender in Johni Broome. But the Tigers did lose to Alabama in their regular-season finale, which they will have to bounce back from in order to win this tournament and lock up a one-seed in March Madness.
Florida Gators
Florida finished the regular season with the same overall record as Auburn, going 27-4. While Auburn finished a game better in SEC competition, the Gators are clearly a contender to win this tournament as well as the national title. The Gators won at Auburn earlier in the season and have proven that they can trade blows with the best of the best in this uber-talented conference.
Alabama Crimson Tide
There may not be a more fun team to watch than Alabama in men’s college basketball this year. The Crimson Tide lead the nation in points per game offensively. But they have plenty of substance to back up their style and they are an experienced bunch led by Grant Nelson and Mark Sears. Getting stops on defense will be the key to this tournament for the Tide.
