Morocco vs Ghana Betting Preview
Group C gets underway in the capital Monday morning when group favorite Morocco face-off against Ghana. These are the two teams expected to top the group and getting off to a good start could go a long way in the knockout stages.
Morocco has made it to the knockout stages of the past two AFCON tournaments but have not been past the quarterfinals since finishing as runners-up in the 2004 tournament. The Atlas Lions have won one AFCON in their history, the 1976 edition in Ethiopia. Morocco was eliminated in the Round of 16 in the previous AFCON.

Ghana is a traditional African power and have made it out of the group stage each of the last seven editions of AFCON. The Black Stars have four AFCON championships but have not won since the 1982 AFCON held in Libya. Ghana was eliminated in the Round of 16 in the 2019 AFCON.
Morocco vs Ghana Pick & Prediction
Morocco has one the of the best teams in this tournament and are loaded with talent playing in the top leagues. Yassine Bounou, of Sevilla, will man the net and the best player on the team will be in the backline as Achraf Hakimi from PSG is a legit star. The midfield is littered with European talent but will be the weak point of this Moroccan team. Sevilla frontline teammates Munir El Haddadi and Youssef En-Nesyri will bag most of the goals for the Atlas Lions. One big exclusion is Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech who has not been in good favor with manager Vahid Halilhodzic. Morocco are the fifth favorites at +1000.
Ghana also boasts plenty of talent, but they are missing the high-level talent that they have had in the past. Keeper will be a big issue for this team as there is no option from a big league. The defensive line will be led by Leicester City’s Daniel Amarty and the midfield will boast Arsenal’s Thomas Partey and Ajax’s Mohammed Kudus. The strike force is also missing high-level talent, but they will be led by Crystal Palace’s Jordan Ayew and Al Sadd forward Andre Ayew. Ghana is +1800 to lift the trophy.
