The matchup between the San Antonio Spurs (7–2) and the Chicago Bulls (6–3) on Monday night might be the best game in the NBA on the night. The Bulls arrive into this game with an unbeaten record at home this season. But the Spurs are red-hot and will try to put a stop to Chicago’s hot home start. Key Storylines
The Spurs arrive with strong form early in the season. They’re 7–2 and riding high after a 126‑119 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans in which De’Aaron Fox tallied 24 points shortly after returning from injury. Despite a hamstring issue earlier in the season, he appears sharp.
The Bulls are 6–3 and host this contest with their perfect 5‑0 home record on the line. But their injury list is troubling. Guard Coby White is out, forward/center Zach Collins is sidelined, and guard Josh Giddey is questionable with an ankle injury. They could really use Giddey on the floor if they want to win this game.
The play of Victor Wembanyama early in the season is a major storyline for the Spurs. Wemby is averaging 24.3 points and 12.9 rebounds per game. He does not appear to be impacted by being shut down last season due to deep vein thrombosis and appears to be as close to a lock as you can get in sports to win Defensive Player of the Year if he stays healthy this season.

Final Thoughts
Both of these teams are undefeated at home so far this season. But the Spurs are just 2-2 on the road and have looked much less unbeatable than they look at Frost Bank Center. I’m going to take the points with the Bulls here, as I make this game close to a toss-up at United Center, while the Spurs would have the advantage if they were at home.
