Oklahoma State vs Oregon Odds
Spread | Total |
---|---|
Oregon -29.5 | 57.5 |
Key Storylines
- Oklahoma State opened the season with a solid home win over FCS team UT Martin. They held the Skyhawks to just seven points in that game and their defense will be tested a lot more on the road against Oregon here.
- Oregon flexed its firepower in Week 1 against FCS Montana State. They scored 59 points and their offense will be able to prove themselves more against a Big 12 opponent on Saturday.
- Oregon comes into this week ranked sixth in the country and they are looking to start delivering on the high expectations surrounding them in this game.
Quarterback Play
Oklahoma State’s Zane Flores didn’t have to do much in his first game of the season against UT Martin. Flores completed 13 of 20 pass attempts for 136 yards. He didn’t have any touchdowns or interceptions in that game and he will look to contribute more in a game where the Cowboys will actually need to throw the football.
Oregon went with Dante Moore at quarterback to start the season against Montana State. He had five incomplete passes and three passing touchdowns in Week 1. The ratio of those two things will likely not be as pretty this week for Moore. But he is expected to lead the Ducks to a big win here if the point spread is any indication.
Betting Trends & H2H
- Oklahoma State failed to cover the spread in its first game of the year.
- Oregon covered the number in their season opener against Montana State.
- The total has gone over in seven of Oregon’s last 10 games.
- These programs have met just once all-time. That meeting came in the 2008 Holiday Bowl and Oregon won it 42-31.
Oklahoma State vs Oregon Model Projection

Final Thoughts
Oregon should have no problem winning comfortably at home in this contest. Oklahoma State’s offense struggled mightily for chunks of their game against UT Martin. Their struggles should continue against a top-10 team in the country in Oregon. The Ducks will win by several scores, but I’ll take the points with Oklahoma State in a game that should stay inside of 30 points.
