Key Storylines
One of the biggest storylines heading into this game is the Titans’ firing of head coach Brian Callahan after Week 6. That move has resulted in Mike McCoy being named the interim head coach and likely leaves the locker room unsettled. Tennessee is already one of the worst offenses in the league, averaging just 13.8 points per game, and now a change atop the coaching staff adds further uncertainty.
The Patriots are hitting their stride. They’ve won consecutive road games and are seeing Drake Maye gradually step up at the quarterback position. Vrabel’s return to Tennessee adds emotional juice to the matchup, as he has a chance to prove that the Patriots’ progress under his regime is ongoing at the expense of his former team.
Quarterback Play
Drake Maye has quietly been one of the most consistent young signal-callers this season. He enters Week 7 with roughly 1,522 passing yards, 10 touchdowns, and just two interceptions. He’s showing a mix of patience in the pocket and ability to push the ball downfield when windows open. His maturity deserves a ton of praise early in the year.
Rookie quarterback Cam Ward has struggled mightily in Tennessee. He has thrown for 1,101 yards, three touchdowns, and four interceptions so far this year. The Titans’ offensive line has allowed pressure and that has made things tougher on the inexperienced Ward going into Week 7.

Final Thoughts
The Patriots are playing so much better than the Titans right now, but I don’t like the idea of laying more than a touchdown with them here. Tennessee could find a boost playing under new leadership, while the Titans will be eager to try and prove that they don’t need Vrabel to lead them. I’ll take the points with the Titans, though I expect the Patriots to get the win here.
