Key Storylines
Denver Broncos: The Broncos’ offense gained momentum in their Week 5 victory over the Eagles. Second-year quarterback Bo Nix led a fourth-quarter comeback that included a touchdown pass and a key two-point conversion. Wide receiver Courtland Sutton had 99 receiving yards, and running back J.K. Dobbins added 79 rushing yards. The defense also made critical plays, sacking Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts six times and limiting Philly’s high-powered offense in the second half.
New York Jets: The Jets’ struggles continued in Week 5, as they fell to 0–5 with a loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Running back Breece Hall had 155 yards from scrimmage, but the Jets fell behind 30-3 in that game and didn’t start scoring until garbage time in the fourth quarter. The Jets have allowed 31.4 points per game so far this season and have to be better on that side of the ball to be competitive this season.
Quarterback Play
Bo Nix (DEN): Nix has thrown for 1,103 yards this season, with eight touchdowns and four interceptions. He is finding Courtland Sutton for over five catches per game so far this year and that connection will be key this week as well.
Justin Fields (NYJ): Fields has faced challenges this season, both with injuries and with execution. Fields has four touchdown passes and has yet to throw an interception. But he isn’t doing enough with the football to make the Jets a consistent offensive threat.

Final Thoughts
The Broncos should win this game and hand the Jets their sixth straight loss to begin the season. But my best bet for this game is the under. New York should struggle to move the ball against a Broncos defense that is allowing 16.8 points per game for the season. Even if Nix and the Denver offense has success against the porous defense of the Jets, we shouldn’t see this game go above the low-40s on the scoreboard.
