Sijara Eubanks vs Priscila Cachoeira Fight Preview
Sijara Eubanks is a large favorite, despite an ugly outcome in her most recent fight against Melissa Gatto. Eubanks did what she always needs to do early in the fight. She took the fight down and racked up some control time, albeit without much damage or threat offered. She predictably faded as the fight progressed and was finished with a kick to the body. A repeat of that performance, and we have seen this multiple times, will be a huge problem for her in this matchup.
Priscila Cachoeira’s nickname is “Zombie Girl,” and she lives up to it as much as any fighter can live up to a nickname. She is always pressing the action in the stand up, and absolutely thrives in wild exchanges. She is a fighter that not only can take a shot, but seems to enjoy it on some level, so long as she is dishing out her own. This approach, as we have seen with her in the past, is looked upon favorably by judges, and she will certainly be the busier fighter in this matchup.
This fight will play out with Cachoiera looking to stand and bang from the onset, with Eubanks seeking a takedown early. Cachoiera will likely be taken down in the first round. Perhaps the second round as well. She may even give up a large amount of control time in the early stages of the fight as well. With that understood, her BJJ is good enough to not be submitted by a fighter like Eubanks, who hesitates to take risks and instead opts for control. So while she may not return to her feet immediately, she will stay in the fight as Eubanks begins to fade.
If and when Eubanks begins to fade and can no longer muster takedowns, she will be in for an absoute nightmare.
