Khusein Askhabov vs Jamall Emmers Fight Preview
Khusein Askhabov joins the UFC roster, and gets a matchup that should raise an eyebrow or two. Emmers has three UFC fights under his belt, he is just 1-2 but the losses are understandable. One of which is a split decision against Giga Chikadze, which is a great showing for just about any featherweight fighter. That is to say there are numerous lesser opponents on the UFC roster the promotion could have matched up with Askhabov for his debut, but they aimed higher. What’s more, oddsmakers agree on some level, as Askhabov is the favorite. The thing that is keeping this line from spiking is Emmers being the known commodity With Askhaov being more of an unknown.
Askhabov has had the highest levels of Muay Thai training available. That portion of his game will likely come at some of the highest levels in the UFC.
