Jeka Saragih vs Anshul Jubli Fight Preview
Jeka Saragih is a very unique fighter. He is compact and has that unique but well rounded style. When trying to describe the Indonesian’s style, I tend to come up with “far more effective Sam Alvey.” Saragih embraces being backed to the fence like Alvey always did. Where Saragih is far more effective is with the bursts and explosions he throws when his opponent comes within range. Saragih is quite compact and powerful, and his knockdown rate is insanely high.
Anshul Jubli is a fighter that has relied upon wrestling and top control for the majority of his short career. He changed that up in his one fight in the Road To The UFC tournament and opted to strike. He edged out a split decision, but did not show off a striking skill set that would benefit him in this matchup. Jubli will be susceptible to eating massive shots as Saragih throws his bursts, and a KO is quite likely to follow if Jubli accepts another standup fight. If he is to have a chance, he will need to return to a wrestling heavy approach. That will be easier said than done, as Saragih is also a well rounded and strong fighter.
The approach from Jubli is the wild card in this matchup. We simply do not know if he will come out and try to stand with Saragih. If he does, the ITD line on Saragih is absolutely the best betting play on the card. If we see a wrestling heavy approach, Jubli gives himself a chance to win the fight, although he will still be in big anger in the standup exchanges. In any event, the +175 ITD line on Saragih presents significant value. It is telling that his ITD line is lower than his opponent’s despite being the underdog.
