Key Storylines
- Rematch factor: Ottawa stunned BC in Ottawa last week with a dramatic comeback, taking it 34-33 in a game BC mostly controlled until late. BC will be looking to avoid letting this one slip again, especially on home turf.
- Playoff implications: The Lions (5-7) still have a chance in a competitive West Division. Ottawa (4-8) is farther behind in the East, though every win matters late in the season for possible postseason positioning.
- Ottawa’s upward trend: QB Dustin Crum has been impressive, especially last week. The Redblacks are covering more often than not and their offense showed enough to believe they can test BC even at BC’s place.
Quarterback Play
On the BC side, Nathan Rourke continues to lead a high-powered passing attack. He’s among the league leaders in both passing yards and touchdowns. He threw for 284 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in last week’s loss. Ottawa’s defense has been leaky and Rourke will try to take advantage of that here.
Dustin Crum remains the starter for Ottawa. He put up 301 yards through the air last week, plus two rushing touchdowns, and had one passing touchdown. His ability to create on the ground adds an extra wrinkle to the Ottawa offense. Dru Brown remains injured and is unlikely to return and that will mean more of Crum in the near future.

Final Thoughts
The BC Lions should be able to win at home here to get revenge on the Redblacks after last week’s surprising ending. But I do think that the Ottawa Redblacks will cover the spread as a huge underdog on the road. They have proven themselves capable of moving the ball with Crum at quarterback. And while they are likely to fall short against the explosive offense of the Lions, I’ll take the points with Ottawa in this Week 15 matchup.
