Key Storylines
- Playoff Seeding & Momentum: Calgary is trying to solidify its spot in second place in the West Division. BC is scrambling to get into stronger playoff positioning themselves. A win for BC would swing momentum their way as the home stretch of the regular season approaches.
- Offense vs Defense Contrast: BC has one of the CFL’s top offenses in yardage, particularly through the air. But its defense gives up more points than the Stampeders. Calgary’s defense has been among the best in yards allowed and has to slow down BC’s passing attack to get the win at home as a favorite.
- Road Challenges: BC has to win away from BC Place this week. That will be a tough task against a Calgary team that is 5-2 at home so far this season.
Quarterback Play
Nathan Rourke has put together strong numbers this season for BC. He has a completion percentage of 68.6%, over 3,600 passing yards, 20 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. His ability to make plays with his legs makes him incredibly dangerous to opposing defenses. Calgary quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. is fifth in the CFL in passing yards and has nearly twice as many touchdown passes as interceptions.
Betting Trends
- BC is 6-7 straight up and 6-7 against the spread.
- Calgary is 8-4 straight up and 7-5 against the spread.
- Calgary is 5-2 at home this season.
- BC is 3-4 on the road in 2025.

Final Thoughts
The Calgary Stampeders have the edge going into this huge game in the West Division. They have been more consistent on both sides of the ball and they have home-field advantage, where they have had success throughout the season. I think that the Stamps will win this game straight up, but I will take the points with BC in this matchup. Rourke and the passing game of the Lions should keep this game reasonably close even if they take the loss in the end.
