Dortmund hope their form in the Bundesliga can translate into this R16 matchup with English opposition in Chelsea. BVB struggled in the group stage, qualifying behind Manchester City in Group G with just nine points. 

The winter break appears to have turned Dortmund into a truly formidable club as they are now one of the hottest teams in Europe. Finding the back of the net has been holding Chelsea back during their recent string of draws. They failed to score against Liverpool, adding to the struggles in attack for a club that doesn’t have a single player with multiple goals scored in 2023. In fact, they have scored a paltry four goals in eight matches as any sign of life in attack would be welcomed by the blues.
