The Eagles made a ton of additions on offense in the offseason, most notably in the form of Saquon Barkley and at the tight end position. Barkley gives the Eagles a true workhorse back and the ability to use their excellent offensive line as a weapon consistently. If this team can keep Mekhi Becton on the field, something the Jets were not able to do on a consistent basis, they have the potential to be much-improved on the offensive side of the ball.

Philadelphia was very good offensively in 2023, ranking in the top-10 in points per game. Their passing game was a big reason for their success, along with their ability to convert on short-yardage situations with ease. The big question for Philly going into 2024 will be whether their offense can bounce back from their struggles late in the season last year, where they failed to score 20 points in five of their final seven games. But adding weapons like Barkley into the mix should help them to do just that.

In 2022, the Eagles were one of the best defensive teams in football, ranking in the top-10 in many major statistical categories. But they struggled at times on that side of the ball in 2023, especially during their late-season collapse. Philadelphia brought CJ Gardner-Johnson back in an attempt to repair their secondary, but the Eagles certainly have some questions to answer if they want to be a more reliable defensive unit in 2024.
Positives & Negatives
Right now, the offense of the Eagles is by far its biggest positive. Adding a rusher like Saquon Barkley into the mix, who will benefit from the threat of a competent passing game around him, adds dimension to an offense that already has firepower through the air. While Jalen Hurts has to prove that he can deliver at the highest levels once again after a rough finish to last season, he is more than capable of doing just that.
However, there are some questions about the ability of the Eagles to get stops on defense on a consistent basis. The Eagles were torched by some of the better teams they played last season, including the Cowboys and the 49ers. If Philadelphia wants to win the NFC and get back to another Super Bowl, they are going to need to find a way to generate stops on a more regular basis against quality competition.
2024 Philadelphia Eagles Win Total Prediction: Over 10.5 Wins
Our season win total projections have the Eagles winning over 10.5 games this year. While the Eagles certainly showed some vulnerabilities last year that they did not show the season before, there is way too much offensive talent for this team to be held down as often as they were a season ago. We think this season win total is an overreaction to a rough stretch at the end of last season and that Philadelphia will bounce back nicely.
