The Philadelphia Eagles will face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 7 of the NFL season. Philadelphia comes into this game on a two-game losing streak and desperate to bounce back on the road. They will attempt to do so against a Vikings team that is searching for a second win in a row. Here, I take a closer look at this matchup in the NFC and bring you my Eagles vs Vikings prediction for Sunday's game.
Odds | Line |
|---|---|
Spread | Eagles –1.5 |
Moneyline | Eagles –125, Vikings +105 |
Total | 43.5 |
Jalen Hurts has eight touchdown passes and one interception this season. He’s also capable of producing offense with his legs, especially in short-yardage situations. But his recent performances have been lackluster and he will try to clean things up here.
Backup quarterback Carson Wentz may get the start in the place of the injured JJ McCarthy. Wentz has experience and could manage the game, but there is a ceiling for the Minnesota offense when Wentz is under center.
Score Projection: Eagles 21 – Vikings 24
Win Probability: Eagles 48%, Vikings 52%
This should be a close game and will be one of the more interesting games of the Week 7 slate. We will learn a lot about both of these teams, but I think that the Vikings have the upper hand at home. Philadelphia is struggling on offense lately and their defense is losing key players at a time when they can't afford it. I'll go with the Vikings as a home dog to hand the Eagles their third loss in a row.
