Key Storylines
- The Sam Darnold era in Seattle is off to a 1-1 start. Darnold and the Seahawks struggled to put points on the board in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers. But they bounced back nicely on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers in a Week 2 win to get back to 1-1.
- The Saints are 0-2 and struggling to adjust to their new-look quarterback room. Spencer Rattler has not been very effective for the Saints at quarterback and the Saints have averaged just 17 points per game. They will look for their first win of the season on the road here.
- This is the first road game of the season for the Saints. We could see Rattler and the Saints offense struggle even more in this game now that they are in a hostile environment.
Quarterback Play
Sam Darnold has been hit-or-miss as the quarterback of the Seahawks so far this season. He has two touchdown passes and two interceptions through two games. His connection with Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been great, with JSN making 17 catches through two games. But Darnold needs to connect more consistently with other members of the Seattle receiving corps.
Spencer Rattler has three touchdown passes and no interceptions through two weeks. He has completed 65% of his passes but those completions haven’t resulted in enough touchdowns to get his team into the win column just yet. There are going to be growing pains at quarterback for the Saints and Rattler will try to make more progress this week.
Betting Trends & H2H

Final Thoughts
I think we are in for a low-scoring game between the Saints and Seahawks in Week 3. New Orleans’ offense could struggle in a big way in this game on the road. But Seattle hasn’t been all that much better at putting points on the board and I think that we are in for a game that will stay under the total of 41.5 points on Sunday.
