This early-season matchup is a rematch of their playoff game from last season, which the Eagles won in convincing fashion en route to the Super Bowl. - Philadelphia went 8-1 at home in the 2024 regular season and swept three home playoff games on the way to the title. They will look to improve to 2-0 at home during the 2025 season with a win here.
- The Rams are off to a 2-0 start thanks primarily to their defense. They are allowing 14 points per game and will try to continue to grind opponents to a halt in their biggest test of the season so far.
- Philadelphia’s offense has averaged just 22 points per game so far this season. They have also been winning on the strength of their defense and will look to continue doing so here.
Quarterback Play
Matthew Stafford has been sharp for the most part for the Rams. In Week 1, he threw for 245 yards and a touchdown while crossing 60,000 career passing yards. With Davante Adams now commanding attention on the perimeter, Stafford can isolate favorable coverages pre-snap and punish single coverage. He came up just short of 300 passing yards against the Titans last week and will try to hit that mark this weekend.
Jalen Hurts has not been throwing the ball much to start the season. He has attempted just 45 passes through two games. But he has made up for not throwing any touchdown passes by rushing for three touchdowns. Hurts’ ability to impact the game in multiple ways makes him so tough for teams to defend and that is likely to be the case for the Rams as well.

The physicality of the Eagles will be too much for the Rams to overcome in this contest and I will lay the points with Philly as the defending champions should move to 3-0 on the season with a win.
