Game Snapshot
- Matchup: Orlando Magic vs Philadelphia 76ers
- Date & Time: November 25, 2025, 8:00 PM ET
- Venue: Xfinity Mobile Arena, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- Broadcast: NBC / Peacock
Key Storylines
- 76ers’ injury cloud: Joel Embiid is listed as questionable with right knee soreness. Tyrese Maxey and Paul George are probable, but deeper rotation pieces like VJ Edgecombe and Kelly Oubre Jr. remain out. This limits Philadelphia’s flexibility, though the return of Embiid would be huge for Philly in this game against a smaller Magic frontcourt.
- Magic’s thin frontcourt: Orlando is without Paolo Banchero and Moritz Wagner and they will try to rebound from a loss to the Boston Celtics on Sunday without their top star on the floor.
- Maxey’s MVP-caliber stretch: Tyrese Maxey is averaging 33.4 points and around 7.9 assists per game. He recently erupted for a 54-point, 9-assist performance. With so many injuries impacting the Sixers, Maxey has been the steady hand that franchise has needed.
- Wagner carrying the Magic: Franz Wagner has been the go-to player for Orlando in Banchero’s absence. He recently dropped a season-high 37 points in a game and will try to put up another big number to help his team tonight.
- NBA Cup implications: This is a key Eastern Conference group-play game. Orlando is inching closer to qualifying for the knockout rounds and will try to improve to 3-0 in group play with a win on Philly’s home floor.

Final Thoughts
The margins in this game are going to be incredibly tight. But I think that the Sixers should come away with the win, especially if Embiid is able to play. Philly is 5-4 at home this season in spite of all the injuries they have dealt with. I’ll back them to stay above .500 on their home floor with the expectation that their big three will spend some rare minutes on the floor together in this matchup.
