Both teams have injury and rest considerations to deal with going into this matchup. I will break it all down for you right here and give you my Pacers vs Suns prediction before tip-off in The Valley.

Key Storylines
The biggest storyline entering this game is Indiana’s lengthy injury list. The Pacers are without Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles), Obi Toppin (foot), Bennedict Mathurin (toe), Kam Jones (back), and Quenton Jackson (hamstring). That leaves Pascal Siakam and Andrew Nembhard as the primary offensive engines for Indiana. That clearly has not gone well for them, as they are 1-10 for the season and 0-6 on the road.
Phoenix’s Jalen Green remains sidelined with a hamstring issue, but Devin Booker has carried the load effectively of late. The Suns have won four straight games, ranking top five in both offensive and defensive efficiency during that stretch. A lot of that has to do with the quality of opponents they have played during their winning streak. But the Suns are facing another bad team in the Pacers here and will try to make the most of that.
Indiana enters this contest off a brutal defensive performance, allowing 152 points in a blowout loss to Utah. Their defensive rating ranks near the bottom of the league and they have struggled particularly against teams with elite scoring wings. That is an issue that could again surface against Booker.
Phoenix comes into this game on the second leg of a back-to-back after defeating the Dallas Mavericks on the road last night. Short rest is always a concern when teams are on back-to-backs in the NBA. But I’m not sure the Suns could have asked for a better opponent to face on short rest than this one.

Final Thoughts
The only concern I have about the Suns in this spot is the fact that they are playing on the second game of a back-to-back. But even with that in mind, the Suns should be able to take care of business against the Pacers here. Indiana just lacks the depth to play at a consistently high level right now and I think that will continue even if the Suns are running on tired legs.
