Dutch Grand Prix Preview
Zandvoort is a circuit known for its sweeping banked corners and unpredictable wind-blown dunes. McLaren heads into this race in peak form and appears best equipped to handle the race conditions. Oscar Piastri leads the drivers’ standings and has claimed multiple wins and podiums in recent rounds. Lando Norris is also in championship contention and got the win in the Hungarian Grand Prix over his McLaren teammate.
Max Verstappen will be riding the wave of Dutch support at Zandvoort. He remains outside the championship fight but has a strong record at this track. He has historically dominated here with consecutive wins from 2021 to 2023 before being upset by Norris in 2024. Verstappen’s Zandvoort experience and pace cannot be ignored. But he enters as an underdog in the outright win market.

Betting Odds
Latest outright winners odds for the Dutch GP list Oscar Piastri as the favourite at around +125 to win with teammate Lando Norris close behind at +135. Max Verstappen is offered at +1100 and Charles Leclerc is available at the same price. The only other driver inside of +2000 to win this race is George Russell at +1800.
Dutch Grand Prix Prediction
There is no denying that the two McLaren drivers are in the two best cars in the Formula 1 field right now. Piastri and Norris are deserved favorites given how well they have driven throughout the year. But to focus solely on that would mean igoring everything that Verstappen has accomplished at Zandvoort in his career and I am not prepared to do that.
I will take a risk and go with Verstappen to win this race at +1100. Claiming the pole position is so important in F1 as currently constructed. I think that we will see Verstappen put forth one of his best qualifying performances of the year to start this race out in front. Piastri and Norris should round out the podium but I think Verstappen is worth a shot in the outright betting markets.
For those who would like a little insurance in the event that Verstappen can’t outmaneuever the McLaren cars, Verstappen to finish on the podium is -110. I think Verstappen finishes in the top three and that could be worth wagering on as well.
