Key Storylines
Pitching matchup
Shane Bieber has the edge coming into this winner-take-all game. He struck out eight batters over six innings in Game 3 of this series. Bieber allowed two runs on four hits and a walk in that game. George Kirby was battered in the same matchup. He gave up eight earned runs in four innings earlier in this series. The Blue Jays clearly feel more confident about their starter in a do-or-die situation. But both bullpens will factor heavily into this game.
Key Players
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. remains red-hot for Toronto. He hit his sixth postseason home run in Game 6, tying the franchise record. He has struck out only twice in 47 plate appearances this postseason. Seattle’s Cal Raleigh has been a star this October but came up empty in Game 6. Raleigh went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts and a throwing error. He will need to be better if his team is going to win this decisive contest.

Final Thoughts
At this point, I have no indication as to where Game 7 of the ALCS is going to go. What I do know is what I am taking the under in this matchup. Both offenses should tighten up under the pressure of a Game 7, which will give the pitching staffs for both team an advantage. We should also see better from George Kirby on the mound than we saw from him earlier in this series. That, combined with another strong start from Shane Bieber and the best arms coming out of each bullpen, should all add up to a relatively low-scoring game and a Game 7 under on Monday night.
